World War Three has arrived.

WWIII - Real world roleplay Nuclear_destruction_of_NYC_616
Launch da nuclear missile!

It is the year 2027.
North Korea actually managed to get its hands on many atomic bombs and thanked America for its lack of support by bombing New York City with a lot of gusto.
Although not every country supported North Korea, most others were sparked into action and joined forces with America to retaliate. But then North Korea's allies jumped up in defence as well.
And that is that.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS OUR WORLD, OUR COUNTRIES, OUR LIFESTYLE. NOT FANTASY.

The helicopter bumped down on the Swiss runway outside the big-as business building. Cole felt his rifle at his side, frowning grimly. Peace talks with Chinese, he realised, just didn't work. But if President Jones wanted to try it, then they would.
So here he was, prettily clad in Marines dress uniform - smart blue with white trim, displaying his many badges. His rifle was on his back, a handgun at his side. His shoulder-length blond hair was tied up and tucked under his dress hat (it looked, he thought, rather like Donald Duck's headgear).
A voice on his earpiece crackled. "Check the signal."
"Loud and clear," he murmured into it.
The doors swung open - they got into position around the President. Their lives mattered less than his. Yet every American life was of equal worth.
Sunlight hit Cole's eyes.

THE GLORIOUS PEOPLE'S GLORIOUS REPUBLIC OF GLORIOUS CHINA

Switzerland was cold, dry and full of boring old men talking at boring old peace meetings that went no-where, completely ignoring the fact that it was obvious THE GLORIOUS PEOPLE\'S REPUBLIC OF GLORIOUS CHINA should gain control of all opposing territories...Ignorant capitalist swine....

Slumped on a bench outside the discussion building, Qiu sighed and rubbed his eyes, like his teachers had taught him to. It didn\'t help his headache, just like nicotine patches hadn\'t helped with the smoking. He took a deep draught of his cigarette.

His nicotine filled bliss was shattered by the rapidly spinning blades of an approaching helicopter. American design. Diao*.....The doors flew open to reveal.....

A fat man poured into a suit was surrounded by ridiculously posed, over buffed men.

*Chinese equivalent of the F*** word.

Fabien; I hope nothing explodes on you!

Fabien had no idea why he had been asked to tag along, nor why he was asked to take a few of his more compact, less stable experiments along. He absently brushed back his hair, sighing tiredly. Switzerland, land of cows, and cheese.
His hand itched towards the can of Red Bull on the fold out table, but he was sent a reproving glare from his superior.
They had never had much patience for his low caffeine tolerance. The plane landed with a bump, moments later, and he stumbled out, yanking a battered old suitcase, full to the brim with 'experiments' inside of it. He shuddered, thinking about what could happen if they...turned out badly.
"Excuse me, pardon!"
He muttered a string of apologies and half-hearted rebukes until he found his superior again, a tall man dressed in a business suit. He seemed to be approaching someone, who looked vaguely familiar.
'Is that the President? And who are those men with him?'
Moments later, he found himself thinking vaguely
'These Americans, they surprise me.'
His eyes caught the back of a man who was smoking, and uttering something along the lines of 'Diao'. Whatever that meant.

Cole saw the smoking man and exhaled in disgust. He was tempted to shoot the cigarette out of the man's hand, but that would get him killed. The French party for the peace talk arrived as well.
One particularly young looking man, dragging a stuffed suitcase behind him, caught his eye. He has American features, Cole noted. Immigrant? Probably.
President Jones shook hands with French Big Boss and, along with both the French and American convoys, headed to the large room of the meeting.

Fabien's superior simply raised an imperious hand, and waved the younger forwards.
"Are we to um...begin the negotiations?"
"Yes. And remember not to use those unless my safety is jeopardized drastically."
How could he forget? It felt like he was carrying a ticking time bomb. Not that what he had was any better. He nervously straightened out his lab coat, and fiddled with the key chain hanging off of his glove.
His boss sat down, with the air of a large cat, about to be fed. Impatient, yet slightly regal looking at the same time. Goodness knows how he was able to carry it off. Standing awkwardly behind his superior, Fabien waited for them to begin speaking.
"You all know the nature of this little...talk we are having today, correct? Well, how about the Americans begin?"
The politician's voice was dry, bored. As if he'd rather be anywhere but sitting at the table, speaking to the president of America. Fabien was amazed that the man could speak to such an important person, with no such formalities. But maybe that was to be expected.

THE GLORIOUS PEOPLE'S GLORIOUS REPUBLIC OF GLORIOUS CHINA

"You all know the nature of this little...talk we are having today, correct? Well, how about the Americans begin?"
The Chinese ambassador leaned closer towards the North Korean one and whispered something. They both smirked.

Qiu fidgeted aimlessly behind them. He couldn't understand it. The American leader had brought along a highly trained entourage. The French ambassador had brought along some suspicious looking scientists. The North-Koreans had sent one of their leading politicians along with a posse of burly looking Koreans.

The Chinese had sent the Mayor of a small fishing village and two low level body guards.

Either there was something fishy going on...or they were pulling off a dramatic insult towards the leaders of some of the world's most capitalist swine filled countries.

Leaning contentedly back in his seat, a small smirk painted itself across Qiu's face too.

NPC
President Robert Jones

President Jones was painfully aware of the Asian ambassadors. The only thing he had to reassure him was that the best Marines team was at his back, around the room, focused on his protection.
He stepped forward. The squad leader, whom he only knew as Captain Strait, escorted him to the lectern and stood behind him as he cleared his throat to begin his speech.
"Many decades ago, Adolf Hitler led Germany on a conquest to rule the world. Millions died. His campaign wavered as he sought to conquer the harsh desert of Africa and the vast lands of Russia."
He met each of the country ambassadors' eyes before continuing. "A year ago, North Korea - and I point no fingers - developed twenty nuclear stations within its borders. Nuclear missiles were promptly launched at parts of America - California, New York City, the like."
Cole's heart twinged. He hadn't been in contact with his family since the bombing and had no idea if they were still alive.
President Jones kept on alert as he carried on with his speech.
Cole knew it was impolite to speak while his president was speaking, yet he thought something might be dodgy. Who was the Chinese ambassador anyway? He activated his mic. "Strait here. Something's up. Keep an eye on the Asians in the room," he murmured, trying to speak without moving his lips. All around the room, his men straightened up as far as they could and kept scanning the room and the doors.

╔══════════════╗
Fabien twiddled his thumbs uncomfortably, and bowed his head, waiting for his superior to speak. The Frenchman did not interrupt the President, out of courtesy. He cleared his throat when the President finished, and said
"Does either North Korea or China have anything to contribute to this discussion?"
Fabien fidgeted, and tightened his fingers around his suitcase's handle.
Well, the French were here to observe and keep things slightly neutral. If not a little bit in favour of the Americans.
"..."
He was too polite to interrupt whilst someone, especially as important as the President, was speaking. So he trained his eyes on a strange man; a Marine, he believed. He could see the barest hint of movement, in the lip region. But it could be just a tic, or breathing out.
There was no reason to worry. Unless he had to use...well. Yeah.

Korean Ambassador

He stood up, eyes blazing with righteous fury.
We bombed you, yes. But what about your constant opression of us because we have a different political view than you? What about Hiroshima. Nagasaki. Since World War II, the United States has dropped bombs on 23 different countries. DURING PEACE TIME! On China. On us. Yet we retaliate, and suddenly it's unacceptable? What about your massacre of the Iraqis? How you backstabbed them? Your takeover of Cuba? Your political slate is far from clean, so don't come crying to us when SOMEBODY DECIDES THAT THEY HAVE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR HYPOCRISY! Panting slightly after his dramatic speech, the Korean ambassador lowered himself back onto the bench.

The Chinese ambassador remained stoic faced, but his eyes glittered (like twinkle willy)

The tension in the air increased. Cole could feel the pressure bearing down on him, suffocating him like thick air.
His hold on his rifle tightened. Harden up, he mentally recited. No, he did not mean erection. Tension. Tension.
Once again activating his mic, he unmovingly muttered, "Strait here. I want Hook down here with me. Look discreet. I repeat, Strait calling Hook."
The one codenamed Hook nodded and moved to stand behind the President as he regained his composure from the outburst. "What you say is true," he replied calmly. "At a glance. Let me remind you, all of you, France, North Korea, China - America has suffered the common indignity of sharing a world capable of containing such violence. The first two world wars, the terrorism attacks on the White House, consequent attempts to breach borders, kill not only Americans but people all over the world. Also, please take into account I was in University when all that happened. Though the past Presidents' wrongdoings have deeply ruined your countries souls, don't you agree that today this is taking place because our interests are different from those of the past?" He nodded once and intoned, "Would the ambassador for France like to make a point."

Chinese Ambassador

Short though he was, and with a ridiculous accent, the Mayor still commanded an imposing presense. Perhaps it was due to the other, more muscled bodyguard looming behind him.
Let me remind YOU that America has been the cause, or often a provoker of this violence. he lisped, ignoring the President's request for the frenchman to speak.

That the so-called terrorism attacks would not have happened if your security was spent on protecting the White House instead of guarding the president and his many relatives at all times.

That the only Americans that have been killed are those that you willingly sent to war to KILL the very people you claim to guard.

That when you take up the mantle of President, you must also take up your countries' past actions, along with your present power.

In fact, the ambassador paused glower, it is deeply ignorant of you to suggest that we forget all of your past atrocities against us. And assume that we will smile and sell you cheap, mass produced products as before, Never giving a thought to how you lorded over us whilst you still had power. You do not even APOLOGISE, you merely tell us that you have changed, as if being American means that you never have to apologise!

[Goddammit, make harder to argue arguements plz?]

Fabien; I hope nothing explodes on you!
╔══════════════╗
The French politician neatly smoothed out a few non-existent creases in his immaculately clean shirt, and smiled, listening to the Chinese man briefly.
"Our country has no interest in war, and will be more than happy to find a way to end it. America has done things wrong in the past. North Korea, China, even France. All of us have blundered somehow. What will be solved by going at each other's throats? I advise that we sit down, and discuss this calmly, without the finger-pointing and interjections.
The terrorism was indeed real, comrade, though I am not suggesting America couldn't have done any better a job; resources are limited in this day and age.
I reiterate - we have all suffered in the past, but this is the future!
Would you throw away all chance at peace, simply by arguing over what has happened in the past? Even when one takes the mantle of President, does that mean they are automatically to blame for everything that goes wrong?
Though, I believe the government of America has a lot to answer for, not only from the Asian and Middle-Eastern countries.
This meeting is not to discuss our interests, rather, our country's. We, as ambassadors, speak for the majority of our population.
...Apart from keeping things below simmering, France is only here to observe."

Fabien gulped. One wrong move, and the entire place could break out in fighting and chaos. Or just a lot of blood. Those marines didn't look particularly friendly...perhaps getting a politician to talk was a bad idea.

The Chinese ambassador's face slowly began to glow red. Of course, Qiu didn't notice, as he was thinking about how badly he wanted to go outside and smoke.

Seeing as Chinaman was spluttering with rage, Koreaman spoke for him.

The French are not known for being NEUTRAL. However, if you wish to end this war BEFORE it reaches your lands, you must simply agree to retreat and cease fighting ....Unless your PRIDE stops you....

(Koreaman has a tendency to exaggerate certain words.)
BTW: ACTION PLZ. Talking is getting boring... : (

Upon hearing Bracket's order, Cole shot the Koreans in the head. Cole sighed and closed his eyes. He'd never actually been up for political arguments, and by the way, had he mentioned that President Jones sucked at making points?
Jonesy simply frowned and stepped from the lectern, returning to his seat.
Cole followed him, motioning for Hook to do the same.
The seats were split into sections, and the Americans were wedged right in between the French and the Chinese. Standing on the right of the President's chair, closer to the French, Cole let his eyes slide towards a scientist with a particularly large suitcase. His eyes travelled over the man whom it appeared to belong to - he was the young-looking one. Jittery guy, he appeared to be.
Abruptly -
Ding a ding a dong! Chakka chakka dong dong! Tring a ling-ling! Cole jumped at the sudden noise. He'd been told that meant it was lunchtime in the business building - if they were to comply, this would be the only other competitive human activity other than English cricket to include meal breaks.
Though seriously, these guys needed a break.

THE GLORIOUS PEOPLE'S GLORIOUS REPUBLIC OF GLORIOUS CHINA

Ding a ding a dong!

Almost before the bell had finished ringing, Qiu had dashed out of the building, pushing though the crowd of exiting ambassadors. (exiting towards the lunch room okai?)

Moments later, he found himself outside again, slumped on the exact same bench, in the exact same position, inhaling his third cigarette.

Perhaps this was why he had never managed to rise above fifth level: his devotion to nicotine far outweighed his devotion to protecting fish-village mayors...

From somewhere inside a bush came a MI-A-OW~!

Diao.* Qiu didn't particularly like cats. When he had been younger, one had sat on his face until he passed out.

Nervously, Qiu hurried back inside, hoping that he wasn't too late for lunch, though not before tipping out the contents of the nicotine patch box, and sticking them all onto his right arm.

*Did more research, it means, "something that...dangles..."

President Jones gestured to him and his men to take a seat at a table, meeting his resultant frown with a firm nod.
Shaking his head, Cole turned and took a table not too far from the ambassadors. Into his mic, he said, "Strait here. Spread out around the politicians. Stay close to Potter."(You know Dumbledore's Army? Well the pressy has a codename too.)
He watched his men obey his orders as Chinese smoker came charging into the room with a colourful arm. Cole let his eyes rest on the messy-haired Asian, attempting to conceal his disdain for him(not only was he Chinese, but he smoked!affraid)
None of the Marines would eat.

Seeing as the chinese ambassador was glaring at him with a look that suggested dire consequences unless obeyed, Qiu quickly strode over to him. AS he did so, he noticed one particularly over-buffed capitalist swine man staring at him with disdain. Realising slightly too late that he had forgotten to pull his sleeve back over the (SKIN COLOURED BTW) patches, Qiu dragged it forcibly down before leaning over to listen to the ambassador's instructions.

Kill them. All. Fetch me another plate of lobster. And stay more alert, we mustn't lose face.

As Qiu hastened to comply, he caught the cold gleam of metal in the corner of his eye.

The politician didn't reply; even he knew angry auras when he saw them. When the break was called, signaled by a loud 'ding a ding a dong' he clapped his hands, and said briskly
"Fabien. Come, and don't forget the case."
The scientist nodded, tugging the now slightly warm suitcase along, head bowed. He stood silently behind, as his superior ate some food, pausing to scan the table.
Fabien's knuckles turned a ghastly white, as he clung onto the suitcase, feeling the handle become slippery with his nervous perspiration.
He watched the messy haired Chinese man, who seemed to be rolling down his sleeve, and tried not to concentrate on the fact that they were surrounded by Marines.
Heavily armed Marines.

Cole momentarily locked eyes with the jittery scientist. What the hell is this guy's problem, he thought. He looks nervous. Could the French be planning something? Then he shook the idea out of his head. France was with America.
Perhaps the Chinese, he speculated. Or the Koreans. The Asians seem to be together in this.
A voice in his earpiece spoke his exact concerns. "Ghost here. Captain Strait, do you think there could be something with the French? That blonde guy over there looks like he could be hiding something."
"Leave the French," Cole replied. "It's the Asians we gotta look out for." Especially that guy with the adhesive right arm.
"Cross here. Sir, can we, uh, eat something? I'm kinda hungry. Plane food was crap."
Cole would have facepalmed, but that would mean whapping himself in the head with his assault rifle which was a very bad idea. With a sigh, he stood up and walked over to President Jones, waiting until he was given leave to address him.
"Sir, the men would like to grab a bite."
Jonesy nodded. "That's fine." He waved him away with a hand.
Cole straightened and nodded. Over mic, he said, "My left half of you, go get something. Right side wait your turn."

THE GLORIOUS PEOPLE'S GLORIOUS REPUBLIC OF GLORIOUS CHINA

Trapped as he was between a stack of lobster-claw piled plates and a murderous chef with a gleaming butcher's knife, Qiu found that all he could say was the chinese swearword for "a thing that dangles."

Diao...diaodiaodiaoDIAODIAODIAO!
His voice rose with the proximity of the approaching chef. As he neared, it became obvious that he was japanese. It also became obvious that he wasn't friendly...and that he was within striking range.

The chef raised his knife...

Belatedly, ten years worth of training kicked in, and Qiu lashed out at the man's crotch, swiftly drawing his handgun from its holster.

BAM! Well, he could hardly have missed at such close range. The kitchen hands turned to the source of the noise.

It was only then that Qiu realised they were all Japanese. And they all had
shuriken weapons.

37 against one. Qiu turned tail and ran.

(hahah. bad at fight scenes)

The automatic sliding doors whizzed open for him. He stepped outside, raised his head to the fresh air, and inhaled.
DIAODIAODIAO! Something in that perfect scene shattered and died as he got barreled over by sticky arm man.
"Dude, what the-?" The bastard smelled like lobster.
The murderous people stopped at the doors. They probably were forbidden to leave the building during work hours. Just as well for this guy.
"Hello...?" Cole shunted the man with the tip of his shoe. Out of the corner of his eye he saw the resident cats of this country.
The Swiss were good with banks, but not much else unfortunately.

THE GLORIOUS PEOPLE'S GLORIOUS REPUBLIC OF GLORIOUS CHINA

A shoe in the face. The best present to get after surviving a kitchen full of people who want you dead. But....they hadn't followed him out, presumably. That must mean their target was inside the building.

Diao. Qiu dragged himself back up and scowled at the G.I JOE man. Thing.

If you have any intention of keeping your over-fed leader safe, I suggest you get back inside. The jappies (lolwut?) have infiltrated the building. They have ninja.

And with those words, Qiu ran back inside. From the front entrance, of course.

A vague knowledge of Chinese from operations in the region meant Cole understood what the hell the man was saying.
He wasn't actually sure what to do. But wouldn't some Swiss be working there?
"Strait here. Drop your forks, men. Harden up. I repeat, harden up. Guard HP with your lives. I'm heading inside."
Hopefully they would now have shot the Jappos (lolwut) dead but that was unlikely. He turned and headed back into the big dining hall.
